In the morning, a panoramic city tour; we’ll explore its medieval origins, such as the Arab fortress, as we walk through the Morería neighborhood, known for its historic buildings and the flavors of its taverns; we will explore the courtly Madrid of the Habsburgs, characterized by Philip II and his Renaissance and Baroque buildings at Puerta del Sol, Plaza Mayor, and Plaza de la Villa; we will see the Madrid of the Bourbons and the urban layout of Charles III, the Royal Palace, the Cibeles Fountain, the Neptune Fountain, and the Puerta de Alcalá; we will admire 19th-century landmarks such as the elegant Plaza de Oriente and the Prado Museum; we will explore contemporary Madrid with avenues like Gran Vía, Paseo de la Castellana, the Salamanca District, Parque del Oeste, the commercial and financial districts of Modern Madrid, and the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium. Day 4: (Tuesday) MADRID – ZARAGOZA – SAN SEBASTIÁN

Breakfast at the hotel. Departure for Zaragoza. Free time to visit the Basilica of Our Lady of the Pillar, patron saint of Hispanic culture, and explore the old town. In the afternoon, continue to San Sebastián, one of Spain’s most famous tourist destinations and known worldwide for its International Film Festival. Overnight stay.

Day 5: (Wednesday) SAN SEBASTIÁN

Breakfast at the hotel. A scenic tour of this French-style, upscale city, whose landscape is dominated by La Concha Bay and Beach. We’ll head up to Mount Igueldo, where you can enjoy a magnificent view of the city. Rest of the day at leisure. In the afternoon, there is an optional tour to the picturesque villages of Biarritz and Saint-Jean-de-Luz, located in France. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 6: (Thursday) SAN SEBASTIÁN – BILBAO – CASTRO URDIALES – SANTANDER

Breakfast, then departure for Bilbao for a panoramic tour, where we’ll have free time on the plaza in front of the Guggenheim Museum to admire this modern architectural masterpiece. We’ll continue on to Castro Urdiales, a typical fishing village where we’ll have free time. Departure for Santander, a port city nestled between the sea and the mountains, boasting numerous beaches, such as El Sardinero, one of the best known. Guided tour with a local guide to explore this beautiful city in depth. Overnight stay.

Day 7: (Friday) SANTANDER – SANTILLANA – COVADONGA – OVIEDO

Breakfast. Departure for Santillana, one of Spain’s most historically and artistically significant towns, home to true architectural treasures such as the Collegiate Church of Santa Juliana, the most important example of Romanesque architecture in Cantabria. We will then continue to Covadonga, where we will have free time to visit the sanctuary and the grotto housing the statue of the Virgin.

 

In the afternoon, we’ll head to Oviedo, a city nestled among a series of hills at the foot of Mount Naranco, known for the beauty of its streets, many of which are pedestrian-only. Its monuments are designated as World Heritage Sites, and among them stands out the Cathedral, one of the most important examples of Asturian Gothic architecture. Overnight stay.

Day 8: (Saturday) OVIEDO – MONDOÑEDO – LUGO – SANTIAGO DE COMPOSTELA

Breakfast and departure for the Galician region. On the way to Lugo, stop in Mondoñedo; free time to visit its imposing 12th-century cathedral and sample the delicious “Tarta de Mondoñedo.” Departure for Lugo and free time to explore the Roman ruins that still stand, such as its city walls, designated a World Heritage Site. Continue to Santiago de Compostela, whose historic center is a World Heritage Site and one of Spain’s most important centers of monuments, a hub of Christian pilgrimage, and the endpoint of the Camino de Santiago, originally built by the Roman Empire. Overnight stay.

Day 9º: (Sunday) SANTIAGO DE COMPOSTELA

Breakfast. Tour of Santiago, including a visit to the Plaza del Obradoiro and the Cathedral (with an interior tour), dedicated to St. James the Greater. The rest of the day is free to continue exploring this city with its university and student atmosphere. Overnight stay.

4.In order to activate the cancellation insurance, once the deposit has been paid, assistance cards will be issued; these cards are non-refundable under any circumstances. If, as an exception, a refund is approved, the retail value of the cards will be deducted, and the remaining amount will be issued to the cardholder for their use.
