Day 5: (Wednesday) PEKING.

During this day we will visit: The Imperial Palace, better known as "the Forbidden City", one of the world heritage sites. We will also have the opportunity to visit the Jingshan Park where the Coal Hill is located, one of the best preserved imperial gardens in Beijing. We will ascend to the top of the hill to have the best views (if the day is clear) over the Forbidden City. It will be well worth the effort. We continue to Tian An Men Square, one of the largest in the world, and from the outside, we will appreciate the National Grand Theater, Beijing's opera house. Lunch included. In the afternoon we will visit the Summer Palace which was a summer garden for the imperial household of the Qing Dynasty. In the afternoon we include an excursion by tricycle (typical three-wheeled bicycle) through the traditional neighborhoods of Beijing, known as Hutong. In this area we will be able to see the characteristic lifestyle of the residents of these popular neighborhoods, visit typical stores and even visit a traditional Hutong house, a Siheyuan, with all its rooms around a courtyard. Return to the hotel and overnight.

Day 6: (Thursday) PEKING - SHANGHAI.

Excursion to the Great Wall (Mutianyu section), spectacular and grandiose architectural work, its history covers more than 2,000 years. We include funicular up and down to the Great Wall. We say goodbye to Beijing with an included lunch of lacquered duck. Transfer to the station to take the High Speed train to Shanghai. Arrival, transfer to the hotel and accommodation.

Day 7: (Friday) SHANGHÁI.

In our included tour, we will visit the Pudong area, located on the other side of the Huangpu River, is today the financial district, its most famous silhouette is the Pearl Tower. We include ferry crossing the Shanghai River from where we get great views over the two parts of the city. We will travel back in time through the streets of the Old City and the Yuyuan Garden, a private garden that was built during the Ming Dynasty. We will enjoy a demonstration of the tea ceremony, a beverage that through its tradition, smell and taste plays a very important cultural role in China. We will pass through one of the most fashionable neighborhoods of the capital, Xintiandi. Lunch included. We will tour the Tianzifang Quarter, an old residential area located in the French Concession area, known for its narrow and labyrinthine traditional alleys with its small craft stores and art galleries. We end the tour at the waterfront, better known as the Bund, with its nineteenth-century European-style buildings.  

We recommend, at your leisure, a boat ride at night to see Shanghai illuminated, it will be an unforgettable experience.

Day 8: (Saturday) SHANGHÁI - LUOYANG.

Transfer to the station. We take high speed train (scheduled train departing at 7.17 hrs), in just over five hours, many stretches of beautiful scenery, we cover the 1000 km that separate us from Luoyang. lunch included. we know the impressive Buddhist caves of Longmen, along more than a kilometer, in the rocky wall of the river were carved more than 100,000 images of Buddha. We will include a boat ride. After that transfer to the old city, we penetrate through its impressive wall and enjoy the great traditional activity and its illuminated streets.

Day 9: (Sunday) LUOYANG - LONGMEN - SANMENXIA - XIAN

First thing in the morning, on the outskirts of Luoyang, we visit the White Horse Buddhist Monastery, an extensive monastery and place of study where Buddhists from all over the world come to study. We continue our route to Sanmexia, historic city bathed by the waters of the Yellow River, we will visit the Baoulon temple with its high pagoda and visit one of the best museums in China: the Guo museum with the funeral carts of the ancient state of Guo. Lunch included. We continue east, we will see Mount Hua, sacred mountain. Xian, arrival in the late afternoon.

10th day: (Monday) XIAN.

We are in the fascinating city where the silk road originated. Early in the morning we will visit the Terracotta Army with its thousands of life-size clay soldiers that were found underground. Return to Xian. Afterwards, we will visit the Small Pagoda of the Wild Goose, pass through the walled center, go through the Muslim quarter and enter the mosque, where we can observe the many cultures and religions that have left their mark on this country. We will also include the entrance to the Drum Tower where we will enjoy a short show playing traditional instruments (not always guaranteed). Free time at leisure.

11th day: (Tuesday) XIAN - LINFEN - WANG CLAN MANSION - PINGYAO.

We leave Xian by modern high-speed train, in less than three hours we arrive at Lingfen from where we go in our coach to the Wang Clan Mansion, built between the seventeenth and nineteenth century by a wealthy family. Lunch included. Continue to Pingyao, the best preserved historical city in China, with 4000 ancient buildings, a world heritage site, we will enjoy this charming traditional city. We will include entrance fee that allows access to all the temples, mansions and city wall.

Día 13º: (Jueves) WUTAI - YANMENGUAN - YINGXIAN - TEMPLO COLGANTE - DATONG

Following a road of great scenic beauty between mountains we continue to Yanmenguan, not far from the borders of Mongolia, in a mountain pass, we know here a part of the Great Wall, we can walk with tranquility to be an area with a very limited number of tourists.
