Day 3

We leave Madrid in the early morning. We travel to the south across La Mancha, making a stop in PUERTO LAPICE, a ‘manchego’ village evoking the figure of Don Quixote. We will enter Andalusia via Despeñaperros, arriving in GRANADA. Lunch included. Free time in the afternoon. We recommend visiting the Cathedral, which houses the tomb of the Catholic Monarchs, or strolling through the Albaicín neighbourhood and enjoying the beautiful views of the Alhambra from the Mirador de San Nicolás.Note: We remind you that the tour you have purchased does not include the entrance to the Alhambra in Granada. Day 4

Departure from Granada. We travel towards the Costa del Sol. MÁLAGA, arrival and time for a walk through its historic center, where the cathedral and the Picasso museum stand out. After that we continue along the coastal highway, with beautiful landscapes over the Mediterranean. PUERTO BANUS, located in Marbella, a beautiful high-level recreational port. In the afternoon we continue the route through the mountains, stories of bandits before arriving in RONDA, a beautiful white town with its large gap that cuts the city in half. We continue to SEVILLE. Arrival in the evening.

Day 5

In the morning we include a city tour. You will be able to see the cathedral and its famous Giralda, the banks of the Guadalquivir River, and the popular neighborhoods of Santa Cruz and Triana. After the visit we will include a boat ride along the Guadalquivir River. Enjoy the panoramic views from the boat. In the evening we offer you the possibility to attend a popular flamenco tablao.

Day 6

We will leave Seville among pleasant landscapes of soft mountains and large pasture lands, we travel towards Extremadura. MÉRIDA, entrance included to the archaeological complex of the Roman Theater and Amphitheater, of excellent conservation, World Heritage Site. Time to have lunch and a walk in the pleasant pedestrian historic center with lots of life and restaurants. We will continue to Portugal, stay in ÉVORA, a city also declared a World Heritage Site, with its white streets,its Renaissance palaces and its cathedral.

Day 7

Today we travel amidst beautiful landscapes of Alentejo. We make a stop in MARVAO, a very picturesque walled town that offers us a fantastic panoramic view of the region. After that we get to know CASTELO DE VIDE with its great castle. We will also have time to walk through its old Jewish quarter, where we can visit the medieval synagogue (now a museum) or through the labyrinth of alleys of the town. After lunch time we continue to TOMAR, a city dominated by the Convent of Christ, former castle-convent of the Templars, entrance included. Before coming to Fátima, we will make a stop at ALJUSTREL, the village where the three little shepherds who witnessed the Virgin were born. We will be able to see Lucía´s house. Arrival in FÁTIMA and free time at the Sanctuary of Fátima, when, if you’d like, you could witness the candle procession (it is not celebrated in winter). Dinner included.

Day 8

We travel to the north of Portugal. Arrival around 11 in the morning in PORTO, the second city of Portugal. Sightseeing visit of the historic center of this city on the banks of the Douro River included. We also include a visit to old wineries. Free time.

Day 9

Today we have beautiful landscapes in the north of Portugal. A walk through BRAGA, the religious capital of Portugal with its old cathedral. We take the oldest cable car in the world to the Sanctuary of BOM JESÚS, beautiful views, we suggest walking down admiring its wonderful staircase. GUIMARAES was the first capital of Portugal, its Palace of the Dukes reminds us of it. Time for lunch. Beautiful landscapes full of vineyards, going down to the Douro Valley. We pass by SABROSA, the birthplace of Magellan. At PINHAO we get to know its wonderful train station with all its tiles and we include a small cruise of approximately one hour along the Douro River (Note: From November to March the cruise does not operate, taking a trip along the panoramic road with stops at viewpoints following the Douro bank) We continue to COIMBRA, arriving at the end of the day. Dinner included in the hotel.

Day 10

Time in COIMBRA, the third city in Portugal known for its old University and steep streets full of charm. We continue towards the south, we stop at the BATALHA MONASTERY (entrance included), an impressive medieval mausoleum of kings. Time for lunch and a walk in NAZARÉ, a town of fishermen and a seaside resort. We include the “elevator” that takes us up to the ancient city with impressive views of the Ocean. Already on our way to LISBON we make a stop in ÓBIDOS, one of the most beautiful towns in Portugal, with its white streets full of flowers. LISBON, arrival around 19:30 hrs.

Day 11

In the morning we will have a city tour, during which we will get to know the Portuguese capital of the 7 hills, the alleys and the tiles, the "saudade" and the Atlantic light. We will also approach the Belem neighborhood, from where the great Portuguese navigators, who crossed the oceans in the 15th century, left. Free time in the afternoon to walk and go to the Bairro Alto and its viewpoint; if you´d like to, you could take an optional excursion to the towns of Sintra, Cascais and Estoril. In the evening we return from the Restauradores Square, full of atmosphere with its bars and cafes, to the hotel.

After breakfast, end of our services.
