WONDERS OF JAPAN (10 Nights)

Day 1: (Tuesday) BOGOTÁ - MADRID.

Departure from your city of origin to Paris. Overnight on board.

Day 2: (Wednesday) MADRID.

Arrival in Madrid. Transfer to the hotel, free afternoon and accommodation.

Day 3: (Thursday) MADRID  - TOKYO.

Breakfast. At the indicated time transfer to the airport to take the flight to Tokyo, Overnight on board.

Day 4: (Friday) TOKYO.

Welcome to Japan! After your border and customs formalities an assistant (usually Spanish speaking, but sometimes in English) will be waiting for you. Transfer by SHUTTLE BUS to your hotel. Free time at leisure. Lodging.

Day 5: (Saturday) TOKYO.

Morning and afternoon at leisure. At 18.30 hrs.- We meet our guide at the hotel reception. We will meet the members of our group and after that we will take an evening stroll. At the end of the evening we will introduce ourselves to this fascinating country by taking the subway (tickets included) to the Shinjuku area. Afterwards, we will take a walk to the restaurant to discover this area with its lively nightlife. Welcome dinner included at a local restaurant. Return to the hotel again by subway accompanied by our guide. Overnight stay.

Day 6: (Sunday) TOKYO.

We included in the morning a long visit with our guide of about five hours in this impressive city. Its frenetic activity, its ultra-modern neighborhoods, coexist with peaceful areas. Brief stop at Zojoji Temple to photograph the most beautiful image of the Tokyo Tower. The hundreds and hundreds of Jizos, stone deities guardians of children who are placed wool caps, bibs and windmills. Then we head towards the famous Shibuya Crossing, said to be the most crowded crossing in the world. We continue to the Meiji Temple dedicated to the spirits of Emperor Meiji and his wife. We continue with our bus along the elegant Omotesando Street, skirting the most beautiful part of the Imperial Palace and gardens. Stop to visit the famous Nijubashi Bridge. We will cross the Akihabara district, the "Electric City", the center of Japanese Manga and Anime; we will pass by the Kokugikan, the Sumo stadium, the Japanese sport. We will finish our tour in Asakusa, visiting the Sensoji Temple and the famous Nakamise Street. Lunch included at a local restaurant. Return to the hotel. Afternoon at leisure. Overnight.

Day 7: (Monday) TOKYO - MOUNT FUJI - KAWAGUCHIKO.

We travel to the beautiful Mount Fuji area. Beautiful landscapes on our route. We know first the ARAKURAYAMA SENGEN PARK, with its beautiful pagodas, from here you get the best and most famous views of Mount Fuji. After that we continue to KAWAGUCHIKO, idyllic town of small houses, flowers and mountains next to its beautiful lake. Upon arrival we will visit the FUJI SENGEN SHRINE, in this magical place, among tall trees, traditionally began the path/pilgrimage to the mountain. We will give thanks at the sanctuary for being able to visit this place full of magic. Afterwards, we will take a boat ride on the Kawaguchiko Lake. Afterwards, we start the ascent to Mount Fuji by the road that takes us to the "fifth station" and among spectacular forests and views we reach the height of 2305 meters.

Note: In winter, the route to Mount Fuji is often closed due to snow or other weather conditions; at that time we will reach the point where we are authorized. Return to Kawaguchiko, you will still have time to stroll along the lake. We stay in a Ryokan (traditional Japanese hotels), enjoy your ONSEN (public bath). Dinner included.

Note: At the Ryokan, some rooms are Japanese-style, tatami mat accommodations, and others are Western-style. On some occasions, accommodation may be provided in a western style hotel.

Day 8: (Tuesday) KAWAGUCHIKO - IYASHI NO SATO NEMBA - TOYOTA - KYOTO.

In the morning, following beautiful road that contours lakes we meet IYASHI NO SATO NENBA, this small village was destroyed by a cyclone in 1966, later recovered as an open-air museum-traditional mountain village. Its typical houses have been transformed into handicraft stores, restaurants, traditional museums. We then admire the SHIRAITO WATERFALLS, considered one of the most beautiful in Japan, with its 20-meter waterfall. We then continue to the Nagoya region, including the entrance to the TOYOTA MUSEUM, a must for car lovers. Continuation to KYOTO, arrival and overnight.

Day 9: (Wednesday) KIOTO.

We will spend the whole day in the city that was the capital of Japan from 794 to 1868 and was the seat of the Imperial Court. This city, during the Second World War, was the only major Japanese city that was not bombed, for this reason it preserves its rich artistic heritage; in Kyoto was signed in 1997 the protocol that seeks to limit emissions of greenhouse gases. We will include a visit of the main points of the city. During the visit we will visit Arashiyama, we will see the Togetsukyo Bridge, which means "bridge that crosses the moon", from where you can admire a wonderful panorama. We will visit Tenryuji, one of the "five great Zen temples of Kyoto", a UNESCO World Heritage Site, then walk through its mystical bamboo forest. We will visit the wonderful Shinto shrine of Fushimi Inari; the Imperial Palace and the temple of Kinkakuji, "the golden pavilion" with its magnificent gardens (the order of the visited points can be modified).After that some time before a walk in GION, the traditional district full of life and popular for its Geisha. Free time at leisure. Lodging.

Day 10: (Thursday) KIOTO - TSUMAGO - MATSUMOTO - NAGANO.

Among beautiful rural landscapes we travel to TSUMAGO, a small wooden village, one of the most beautiful villages in Japan. Free time to stroll around. Lunch included in a local restaurant. We then continue to MATSUMOTO, tourist town where we visit its impressive 16th century castle, known as "the castle of the crows". Continue to NAGANO, accommodation.

DIA 11th day: (Friday) NAGANO - MONKEY PARK - KUSATSU- IKAHO ONSEN.

In NAGANO we will visit Zenko-ji, a place of pilgrimage where the first Buddhist image of Japan is located. We will include our travelers the Gomakuyo ceremony to attract luck. After that we enter the beautiful Japanese Alps between high mountains go to the monkey park of JIGOKUDANI, we will include lunch and walk among its forests with its rivers and hot springs where they reside and bathe colonies of Japanese macaques. Later, high mountain landscapes (we reach 2172 meters) beautiful, we pass by semi-active volcanoes. KUSATSU, attractive thermal city, its central square full of life. Later walk in the park of the city that houses Onsen in the open air.

Continuation to IKAHO, picturesque hot spring town, we will stroll through its old center with its staircase streets. We stay in a RYOKAN, Japanese style hotel where we suggest enjoying its baths. Traditional Japanese dinner included.

NOTE: In autumn, depending on the abundance of fruits in the mountains, the movement of the monkeys is unpredictable. If the macaques do not come down to the park, the park may be closed. The visit to Kusatsu and the Yumoni show are cancelled, due to weather conditions, from November to April.

Day 12: (Saturday) IKAHO - NIKKO - TOKYO.

We continue to NIKKO, in this fantastic town we will visit the impressive temple of Nikko-Toshogu where the hall with the sound of the dragon stands out. We will also visit the mausoleum of Taiyuinbyo, in an impressive place full of peace. We will also take a walk along the river, in Kanmangafuchi, hundreds of Jizos are watching us! We will have some free time in the city center before leaving for TOKYO - Arrival in Tokyo around 6.30 pm. Overnight stay;

Day 13: (Sunday) TOKYO - MADRID.

Free time at leisure. At the indicated time transfer to the airport and departure flight to Madrid, with connection in Istanbul. Overnight on board;

14th day: (Monday) MADRID - BOGOTÁ.

Arrival in Madrid, at the indicated time then take the flight to Bogota.
